Recommended Fabrics:
Use bottom-weight fabric in Linen, cotton, light canvas, or denim. Use woven fabric without stretch for your summer pants sewing pattern. Use materials such as cotton or polyester for the pocket lining and interfacing that supports the weight of your fabric.
You will also need: 1/2 (0.5) yds of interfacing, 1-2 yds of 1 1/2″ – 2″ elastic, 1-2 yds of 3/8″ – 1/2″ drawstring, and 2 (optional) 3/8″ – 1/2″ buttons for pockets
