Celebrating Sewing Basics this Spring sale in uk
We’ve wanted to host some kind of sewing basics tote bag meetup FOREVER and this year (which hasn’t been the year of peace and justice we wished for) may as well be the year we finally do it! So we’d love for folks to come together in Vellucci Plaza on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 5 PM to share their tote bag. We’d absolutely LOVE to take a group photo!
We figure there’s at least 2K Sewing Basics tote bags in the world from all the folks who’ve taken the workshop since we started teaching the class in 2011. It’s the most popular class we offer and we honestly can’t teach enough sessions of it. We LOVE that so many people want to learn to sew and that there might actually be 2K tote bags out there carrying books and snacks and the possibility of making something else.

WHAT? Group photo in Vellucci Plaza of everyone who’s taken Sewing Basics and the tote bag they made (or any bag they’ve made!).
WHEN? Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 5 PM (Rain date: Wednesday, March 27 at 5 PM)
WHERE? Vellucci Plaza in Inman Square. Let’s meet at the giant deer sculpture. One time V was eating a snack in the plaza and a guy walked by the deer and yelled, “You shoulda been a g-damn fish.”
WHY? Just because we all could use more community and joy.
